Project Overview
It was 2022, and the assignment was simple. Come up with an innovative 2-day hackathon project that addressed any gap in OfficeSpace. Ours was thought for our most forgotten group of users :The employee. We proposed a mobile app that introduced Augmented Reality capabilities to facilitate way-finding and on-site booking features.
Team and contributions
I joined a very passionate team of engineers that knew how tho make the magic happen. I was the product designer in charged of putting together the AR interface and working on the prototype and a demo video to share in front of the jury en the rest of the company.
The result

When I joined this team, I had some research and discovery going about the re-design the mobile app. I had several findings, resources, and references in the navigation and way-finding area that we decided not to pursue in the former redesign. But this hackathon opportunity was right-off for it. It helped us to shape the initial concept and features where we thought AR could help the most to our users while navigating their workplace.

While engineers worked on the technology approach, I built the prototype that helped visualize different use cases, such as:
• Finding an available desk and booking it
• Finding people and scanning assets for further information
• Checking your booking information, and extending meetings
• Finding who's in at the office
• See upcoming events
• Visualize an exploded view of the floor plan
• Find available spaces nearby
•Find your way to a specific location

We won the second place.
